Ana Maria Cetina Made a Final Video Call to Her Sister Before Fatal Flight

Ana Maria Cetina spoke with her sister by video call shortly before the private jet she was travelling on took off, according to an interview with The U.S. Sun. Cetina was among nine people killed when the aircraft crashed in Florida last weekend.
Her sister, Angie Ramirez Cetina, recalled that Ana Maria showed her the children in her care and gave her a look at the plane. She said Ana Maria was excited about the trip to the Bahamas, a destination she had not visited before, and described her sister as happy to be travelling with the family she worked for.
“She was truly happy because she had never been to the Bahamas, and even though she was working, she didn’t see it as work. She enjoyed it,” Angie told the outlet.
The news of the crash was difficult for the family to accept. Angie said she saw reports about the accident and the flight path but initially could not bring herself to believe that her sister had been aboard. Her mother later called to confirm that it was the flight Ana Maria had taken.
The Robinson family had also spoken publicly about Cetina, describing her as a tender and devoted caretaker to their children, Emma, four, and Charlie, two. The family was among those killed in the crash, along with other passengers named in reports.
The aircraft went down near Greenacres, Florida. The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation into the crash. The account of Cetina’s final call comes from her sister’s recollection in the interview; investigators are separately examining the circumstances of the accident.
