Dana White to Meet Trump About White House Press Secretary Offer

Dana White is expected to meet President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday to discuss an offer to become the next press secretary, according to TMZ. The meeting is set to take place in the Oval Office, where the UFC executive and Trump will talk over the proposed role. White has not yet said whether he plans to accept it.
White is in London for a boxing event, TMZ reported, before the planned trip to Washington. Trump announced the offer in a Saturday post on Truth Social, praising White and saying he would be “a Press Secretary like none other.” The president also made a direct appeal for him to take the job.
The potential appointment follows a series of public hints about who might fill the position. The report says White House staffers had floated rapper Nicki Minaj as a possible contender shortly before Republicans suffered a midterm defeat.
The press secretary position became vacant after Katie Zacharia was removed just five days into the job. Vice President JD Vance reportedly informed Zacharia of the decision during an interview. For now, White’s meeting with Trump is the next step, and a decision on the offer may come after the two speak.
