A playful exchange at Zlatan Ibile’s wedding became an online talking point after content creator Tunde Perry repeatedly linked Davido with fellow Afrobeats stars Wizkid, Burna Boy and Olamide. In a video circulating on X on November 4, 2026, Perry can be seen greeting the singer and calling him “eyan Olamide,” “eyan Wizkid” and “eyan Burna”—phrases that suggest a connection to or support for the artists. According to the report, Davido took the comments in stride. He laughed during the interaction, while his wife, Chioma, smiled beside him. The moment happened during celebrations for Zlatan’s white wedding to Davita Lamai in Morocco, where Davido and Chioma were among the guests. The clip prompted debate among viewers, some of whom speculated that Perry was trying to draw Davido into a public confrontation. With perceived rivalries between Davido, Wizkid and Burna Boy often discussed by fans, the repeated references struck some people as an invitation to online drama. The report notes that Wizkid was not at the Morocco ceremony, although one of his songs had been played at Zlatan’s traditional wedding in Lagos. Still, the singer’s easygoing response became the focus of the viral moment. Rather than appearing upset, Davido seemed amused throughout the exchange, a reaction that fans discussed as widely as Perry’s remarks. Davido and Chioma also drew attention for their coordinated appearance at the event. He wore a black tuxedo and dark sunglasses, while she chose a teal gown with a jewelled neckline and matching accessories. They arrived hand in hand. The pair had also attended Zlatan’s traditional wedding in Lagos in late October, where Davido served as a groomsman; the report says Chioma was not present at that earlier ceremony.
