Devon Hennessy moved to Portlaoise Prison’s maximum-security unit

Devon Hennessy, described in the report as a West Dublin gang figure, has been transferred from Mountjoy Prison to Portlaoise Prison. He is now being held in the prison’s maximum-security A5 unit, according to the source, which says the move is permanent. The report gives no further details about when the transfer took place or what prompted it. It also does not describe any change to Hennessy’s sentence or legal status; the information supplied is that he has been moved out of Mountjoy and is now housed in the A5 unit at Portlaoise. The article includes references to several other crime and prison stories, but they concern separate events and people. Those accounts do not provide additional information about Hennessy’s transfer. The central update is the reported move to Portlaoise, where he is being held under maximum security.
