Hilary Swank Shares Glimpses of Life With Her Twins and Husband Philip Schneider

Hilary Swank has offered fans occasional snapshots of family life with her husband, Philip Schneider, and their twins, Aya and Ohm. The actress welcomed the children in April 2023, announcing their arrival with an Easter message that celebrated the boy and girl as worth the difficult journey.
In the months before their birth, Swank shared playful updates about her pregnancy. She joked in February 2023 that the “oven’s heatin’ up” and the “dough’s beginning to rise,” and posted an ultrasound image in which one baby appeared to flex. At the 2023 Golden Globes, she posed with a hand resting on her bump.
Swank later explained that the twins’ names carry personal meaning. In a February 2024 post, she said her daughter’s name, Aya, was inspired by a courageous Syrian refugee the couple met in Lebanon. Their son’s name, Ohm, refers to what she described as a universal sound that unites people.
The actress has also shared the less polished parts of parenting. After a long journey with two babies who would not sleep on planes, she joked in August 2024 that she and Schneider had taken their final flight home into their own hands, then clarified that the family had been in good care with the airline crew. The following year, she gave followers a glimpse of what she called the reality of traveling with twin toddlers.
Her posts have also celebrated the family’s dogs and offered warm wishes to caregivers juggling competing demands. In a December 2025 holiday message, Swank spoke of hoping for restorative time and acknowledged people who keep many responsibilities in the air while having little time for themselves. The updates present a picture of a busy family life she shares in affectionate, often humorous bursts.
