Katie Zacharia Signals She Still Backs Trump After Five-Day White House Stint

Katie Zacharia is making clear that losing her White House job has not, in her view, shaken her support for President Donald Trump. After a news story described her as still “ruthlessly loyal” to him, Zacharia replied with a one-word endorsement: “Facts.” The brief response was the latest sign she remains firmly in the president’s corner, despite being removed from the role after only five days. Zacharia had already posted warm words about Trump within hours of her dismissal, calling him “kind, wonderful, gracious, thoughtful, enthusiastic, and the most hardworking man,” according to the article. Her public show of affection followed a short and turbulent stint as press secretary, during which her first briefing drew criticism. The report says she appeared uncertain while reading from prepared notes, answered only three questions from outlets it described as MAGA-friendly, and ended the session after 14 minutes while other reporters were still waiting to speak. Her professional background also became a point of scrutiny. Zacharia’s résumé reportedly described her as an attorney, and Trump repeated that description in the post announcing her appointment. But the article says no evidence was found that she had passed a bar exam in any U.S. state. Zacharia later said she had worked as a lawyer in China after moving there, a claim that reportedly prompted questions from experts about how a recent U.S. law graduate could have qualified to practise in the country. Two subsequent Fox News appearances did little to quiet the questions. Sean Hannity pressed Zacharia about her credentials and her first briefing, while an interview with Fox & Friends the following morning was also described as difficult. The article says Trump reportedly told her after the appearances, “Honestly, if I were you, I’d reconsider.” Zacharia’s latest “Facts” reply suggests she is choosing public loyalty over a more visible break with the president who let her go.
