Manueli Ratuniyarawa credits calm focus for Nadroga’s victory

Nadroga captain Manueli Ratuniyarawa says composure and commitment to the game plan helped his side secure victory, with the team staying focused for the full 80 minutes rather than letting pressure disrupt its performance.
Speaking in Lautoka after the match, Ratuniyarawa said the players did not panic. He credited their ability to keep playing their own game throughout the contest, describing that steady approach as a key factor in the result.
The captain also praised the young players who came through the Under-20 system last year. According to Ratuniyarawa, they have continued to step up over recent seasons and demonstrate that they can contribute at senior level.
He singled out their progress as an encouraging sign for the team, while also recognising the role of Nadroga’s supporters. Ratuniyarawa thanked fans for continuing to believe in the side and said the sold-out crowd in Lautoka was a welcome boost for the players.
His post-match comments offered a glimpse of what the captain believes made the difference: a team that stayed composed, trusted its plan and kept working until the final whistle. For Ratuniyarawa, the win was also an opportunity to recognise the young players growing into their roles and the supporters who turned out to back Nadroga.
