Mark Consuelos Hints at a New Butterfly Tattoo After Reuniting With His Artist

Mark Consuelos may be adding another design to his tattoo collection after reconnecting with tattoo artist Koray Ozsoy for the first time in seven years. The television star posted a sketch of a large butterfly on his Instagram story, along with a short note marking their reunion. A follow-up image showed Consuelos posing beside Ozsoy in a kitchen. Consuelos wore a black T-shirt, beige pants and a gray cap, while the artist appeared in an orange top and black pants. The posts did not confirm that the butterfly had already been inked, but they suggested the design could be under consideration. Consuelos already has several tattoos, including a Mexican eagle on his bicep, a skeleton wearing a sombrero and holding a gun and clock, and a Greek inscription on his arm that translates to “knowing nothing except this one thing.” The article says the skeleton design was done in Vancouver by tattoo artist Kaiju. Not every past choice has remained a keeper. Consuelos previously described getting tattoos soon after eloping with Kelly Ripa in Las Vegas in 1996. He chose the comedy and tragedy masks, a decision he later called embarrassing and regrettable; the original artwork has since been covered by another design. He spoke about that experience on Live with Kelly and Mark while guest host Jenna Dewan was sitting in. Recalling the impulsive post-wedding trip to a tattoo parlor, he said he could not remember whose idea it had been and joked that the masks were an awful choice. Dewan said she was also having a tattoo removed, describing the process as extremely painful. Consuelos and Ripa have three children: Michael, Lola and Joaquin. The article also notes the couple’s Manhattan home, but the latest Instagram posts focused on Consuelos’s reunion with Ozsoy—and the possibility of a new piece of ink.
