Shekinah Garner Seeks $6,189 a Month in Support From Sarper Güven

Shekinah Garner
Shekinah Garner is asking a judge to require her estranged husband, Sarper Güven, to pay monthly spousal support as their divorce moves forward. Court documents cited by TMZ say she is also seeking $35,000 toward her attorney fees and legal costs. Garner, known from 90 Day Fiancé, says she put her esthetician business on hold while supporting Güven’s comedy career. According to the filing, she traveled to Turkey about once every two months for roughly three weeks at a time over a two-year period, before his U.S. visa was approved. She says she closed her facial studio during those trips and that the time away took a financial toll on her business. The filing compares the former couple’s reported business finances. Garner says their joint federal tax return showed Güven’s comedy business brought in more than $280,000, including $180,000 in net profit. Her own business, she says, reported a net loss of $51,000. She is asking for $6,189 per month in spousal support, in addition to the requested contribution to her legal expenses. Garner filed for divorce in September, citing irreconcilable differences, according to the report. She has also spoken publicly about the relationship, saying in a social media post that she remained faithful despite hearing that Güven was on dating apps and being seen with other women. Those are her allegations; the filing and public comments do not establish how a court will rule on support. In a statement previously given to TMZ, Garner described the decision to end the marriage as painful but said she had reached a point of no return. She said she was letting go, grieving the future she had imagined, and beginning to move on. The latest request now puts the financial consequences of the split before a judge.
