Zac Affleck Says He ‘Messed Up’ His Marriage as He Apologizes to Jen

Zac Affleck is looking back on his relationship with estranged wife Jen after she filed for divorce earlier this month. In a TikTok post on Friday, November 6, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives personality shared a montage of old clips featuring the couple and wrote that watching the memories was painful.
“I married my dream girl, and I messed it up,” Zac said in the caption. He also apologized to Jen for the way he had spoken to her and for failing to protect her feelings, adding that he believed he had dimmed her light. The post came days after Jen’s divorce filing, according to the report.
The couple met through the Mormon dating app Mutual and married in 2019. They have three children and announced in June that they are expecting a fourth, only months before Jen filed for divorce at the start of November. Both have said they had been discussing a separation for some time.
Zac said he hopes to move forward with love and gratitude for the family they built, and promised to keep working on himself as a father and coparent. He also expressed a wish for them to raise their children together peacefully.
The pair have spoken publicly about difficulties in their marriage since the reality series premiered in 2024. Earlier in the week, Zac said Jen had told him about a year earlier, after her appearance on Dancing With the Stars, that she was unhappy and wanted a divorce. He said he asked her to stay and promised to make changes, but they ultimately could not repair the relationship.
Despite the split, Zac said he still loves Jen and intends to support her. He recalled that she had stood out to him from the beginning and described her as someone with a good heart. The couple’s public reflections now come as they prepare for a new chapter as co-parents and await the arrival of their fourth child.
